The Festival was held at Exhibition Park in Canberra, Australia.
Dance Instructions are:
Formation: Big circle of couples – Men have their Woman on their Right, their Corner on their Left
Music: Jigs x 32 bars
8 Bars: Holding hands in one big circle all take 4 steps forward into the centre and back.
Repeat above
4 bars: Women only take 4 steps into the centre clapping on the 4th step and 4 steps back into place
4 bars: Men take 4 steps into the centre and putting up their Right arm on the 4th step, turning to their Left come back to swing their corner woman.
8 Bars: Men swing your corner woman with a crossed hand swing (it's a long swing)
8 Bars: With a lower promenade hold promenade your new partner anti-clockwise for 13 steps and end putting her on your Right.

Dance of the Anatolian Circassians or locally known as Sheshen is a very popular Circassian dance performed in every wedding and celebration ceremony. Its origin is not known clearly, but modern versions are inspired by Circassians living in Turkey. It has a moderate pace although there are some faster versions mixed with Lezginka in some regions.
Every couple performs the dance inside a wide circle surrounded by the crowd and guests. Couples take the floor one by one and show their skills to the community. The man needs to do his best to get the woman's attention and the crowd's appreciation. The other men in the circle encourage and support him during the dance with cheers and chants. Although there are some basic elements, custom improvisations are very important. Performers should not repeat other people's patterns and they have to be creative because individual compositions are seen as a signature for the person. Like all other Circassian dances, the dance duration depends on the woman and keeps going on until she decides to finish it. It's accepted a very rude behavior if the man leaves the scene first.

Circassian beauty or Adyghe beauty is a stereotype and a belief referring to the women of the Circassian people. A fairly extensive literary history suggests that Circassian women were thought to be unusually beautiful and attractive, spirited, smart and elegant, and as such were desirable (although most Circassians refuse to marry non-Circassians, a requirement of Adyghe Xabze). A similar yet smaller literature also exists for Circassian men, who were thought to be especially handsome.

The Circassian Genocide happened between 1763 To 21, May, 1864 ended with the fall of Circassia after fierce fighting, and heroic defensive fight that Circassians took against the Russian invading army which lead to the total occupation of the North Caucasus. The fall of Circassia and other parts of the North Caucasus Region in the hands of the tyrants and savage Tsarist Russian armies that committed genocide and ethnic-cleansing against all invaded nations and amongst them the Circassian nation which was considered the biggest genocide of the nineteenth century, which was forgotten by later history. Millions were terrorized, massacred, displaced, or deported to a Diaspora that is as wide and as large as more than forty countries of the world.
This genocide was known to be the blueprint for future genocides (armenian, holocaust) and one of the most brutal.

Circassian youth today are the most impacted by the ubiquity of globalization, as they are
immersed in diverse societies and cultures that play a significant role in shaping their unique
identities. Hence, it is no surprise that Circassian youth living
in the diaspora face several challenges in attaining and/or

This is a review of why Navajo is the world’s hardest language to learn, harder even than Chinese, Korean, or Arabic. (In my humble opinion as someone who has studied all of these languages.) The primary reason for this involves Navajo verb complexity: they change like a Rubik’s cube depending on 7 different modes, 12 aspects, and 10 sub-aspects, which mix and match to generate different forms like a giant times table. In addition, pronunciation is also extremely complex with rare sounds like ł, tones, and glottal stops!
