Circassia... the land of the free Circassian people and the home of nobility and knighthood.

The idea of a Circassian flag is as old as the Circassian nation itself.

Historically, Circassian tribes had their own distinguished flags.

The idea of a unifying flag that represents all Circassians came from the leader and diplomat Sefer Bey Zhanoko in 1836.

Sewn by a Circassian princess in Istanbul, three copies of the new flag were sent to Circassia with David Urquhart the Scottish diplomat and friend of Sefer Bey.

Traditionally, a Circassian knight fills his pocket with arrows when heading to battle, but only takes three arrows when heading for hunting.

A symbol of peace but also power.

The twelve stars represent the twelve Circassian clans.

Green…. the colour of the great Caucasus meadows.

Later the black colour of arrows and stars on the flag was changed to yellow.

Since it was first designed in 1836, the current flag has been representing all the Circassians all around the world.

The Circassian nation Flag is the official flag of the Republic of Adyghea in the Russian Federation.

Today it is the oldest flag of all the Russian federation subjects.

In March 2010 Circassian Council (Адыгэ Хасэ) of the Republic of Adygea decided to celebrate 25th of April as the National Circassian Flag Day (Адыгэ Ныпым И Маф).

Since then, this date marks the Circassian celebration of their national flag all around the world.

We The World Circassian Youth Organisation believe that the Circassian flag is the symbol of our unity around the world.
It is the symbol of our nation's consciousness and future.
We are Circassians and this is the greatest symbol of our people.

Adyghe (Circassian) Etiquette

Adyghe Khabze (Xabze) is in an orally transmitted rigid and complex code in which customs and social norms were enshrined. This system of morals had evolved to ensure that strict militaristic discipline was maintained at all times to defend the country against the many invaders who coveted Circassian lands. In addition, social niceties and graces greased the wheels of social interaction, and a person's good conduct ensured his survival and prosperity. The Khabze served as the law for ad hoc courts and councils set up to resolve contentious cases and other moot issues, and pronounce binding judgements. This code did not remain static throughout the ages. It was reformed and developed at some points in Circassian history, when two factors obtained: preponderance of outdated practices and the appearance of a charismatic personage to effect the transformation. The first instance of this kind in recorded history was in the 16th century, when Prince Beslan (Beislhen) Zhankh'wetoqwe, nicknamed 'Pts'apts'e' (The Obese), modified the structure of the peerage system and updated the Khabze. Two centuries later, the legendary Zhebaghi Qezenoqwe (1684-1750), the quintessential fighter for justice in Circassian folklore, played a pivotal role in modernizing the code and removing outdated customs and practices, though he is sometimes erroneously accredited with originating it. He was an accomplished statesman by the standards of the time, being responsible for formulating Kabardian policies with respect to the Crimean Khans and their overlords, the Ottomans. One of his notable achievements was his counsel to Prince Aslenbek Qeitiqwe and manoeuvres to avert a war with Khan Saadat-Gery who attacked Kabarda in 1720 to avenge the destruction of the Tatar army in 1708 at Qenjalischhe. Stories of Zhebaghi's wisdom and sagacity are still very much alive in national memory. In one anecdote, he was asked about the difference between truth and falsehood. He enigmatically replied that only four fingers separated them. He lifted up his hand and placed four fingers between his eye and ear, and said, 'Everything your eye sees is true, and all that you hear is false, for no one tells the truth the way he sees it.' The most recent reform was made in 1807, when a group of Circassian judges and scholars, with the blessing of the nobility, amended and updated some articles of the law.

🔴《チャンネル登録者について》
2024年５月３日(金)にこのチャンネルの登録者が３万人に到達しました。　2005年５月にUSTREAMを利用して配信を開始したので19年間配信し続けてこれました。これはひとえにみなさまのサポートがあったからだと心から感謝申し上げます。　思い返すとUSTREAMからYou Tubeに引っ越してきたのが2018年7月。　2020年11月14日に登録者が1万人に到達したので28ケ月かかりました。　そして2022年5月6日(金)に登録者が2万人になりました。　期間は18ケ月。　今回の3万人までの期間は24ケ月かかりました。　これを遅いとみるか早いとみるかはご意見が分かれるところだと思います。　私はこんなに順調に登録者が増えるとは思ってもいませんでしたのでとても速かったと感じています。　以前も書きましたがこのチャンネルを始めるきっかけは、軽井沢を愛したお袋と親父が『夏の間餌をあげていた小鳥やリスは冬はどうしているの？』という一言がきっかけでした。　今も二人は天国でこの配信を見て笑顔で会話していると思います。　世界的な流れでは2020年初頭から人類は未知のコロナウイルスと戦うこととなりました。　そして地球上では戦争や紛争が絶えません。　日本における地震を見れば、1995/1/17に阪神淡路大震災、2011/3/11に東日本大震災、2016/4/14に熊本地震、2018/9/6に北海道胆振東部地震、2024/1/1に能登半島地震・・・こうやって書いてみると恐ろしいけれど日本が地震大国といわれることを納得せざるを得ません。　このような社会状況の中いつ開いても癒しの空間が広がっているチャンネル・・・今はそれを目指して頑張っています。　AXISさんおカメラに切り替える前は冬のスキーシーズンに使用していたパナソニックのカメラからWIFIを利用すればどこからでもUSTREAMに配信できていましたが、停電等のトラブルがあるとどんなことをしても私が山小屋へ行き修復する必要がありました。　その他にも名古屋市に出張仕事に出かける行きの新幹線の中でお水が停止するのを確認。セミナーを終えてチャンネルを見ると、水が干上がった丸太の水場で小鳥達がエアー水浴びをブルブルッとしていました。　調べると東京駅で東海道新幹線から長野新幹線に乗り換えると19時頃には山小屋へたどり着けるのでGOしました。翌日は福岡で出張セミナーでしたのでその日のうちに松戸へ帰宅。　翌日は朝から水音が聞けました。　こうやって思い返すと頑張れたのには原因がある気がします。　この場を借りて私の元気の源ともいえるそれぞれに感謝申し上げます。　配信を始めるきっかけを作ってくれたお袋や親父に感謝！　三笠の森とその子供達に感謝！　このチャンネルを居心地の良い場所にするために手助けをしていただいている方々に感謝！　そしていつも応援してくださる視聴者の皆様に感謝！　配信を世界中に届けてくれるUSTREAMやYou Tubeに感謝！　日々進化する機材に感謝！　私はこれからも森と環境を守り子供達が活動しやすい生き物のサンクチュアリ作りを目指します。　皆様におかれましてもこれからも力強い応援をお願いします。　三笠の森と山小屋と生き物のサンクチュアリを次世代にバトンタッチできるまで・・・何卒よろしくお願いいたします！
