Kısa Tarihi;
1556 dan sonra başlayıp 1864 e kadar süren Kafkas-Rus savaşları
Çerkesya’nın Ruslar tarafından işgaliyle sonuçlanmıştır. Rus çarı 2.Aleksander
Çerkesler’e “Vadilerdeki oturduğunuz yerden çıkıp size gösterilen ovalardaki yerlere
iskan edeceksiniz ya da sürgün edileceksiniz.” ültimatomunu verir. Çerkesler’in % 95’i
bu ültimatomu kabul etmez ve vatanlarından sürgün edilir. % 5 gibi çaresiz bir azınlık
ovalara iskan ettirilmek suretiyle bırakılır. Şimdi Adığey Cumhuriyeti sınırları içinde
kalan Hakurine Hable, 1859 yılında, o zamanlar çiftlikler halinde dağlık vadilerinde
yaşayan Abdzah sülalelerin çıkartılmasıyla kurulmuştur. İskan edildikleri bölgede
yenilgi ve esareti kabul etmeyen Abdzah aileler 1864 yılında Meretıko Hacı Zekeriya
Bey önderliğinde vatanı terk ederler. Bunlara civar kabilelerden Wubıx, Bjedığu,
Besleney, Abazin, Çemguy, Şapsığlardan da sülaleler katılır. Meretıko Hacı Zekeriya
Bey yanındaki Thamatelerle birlikte Sultan Abdülaziz ile görüşüp kendilerine yer
gösterilmesini ister. Padişah kendisine “mahiyetiyle birlikte istediği yere yerleşebilir”
diye belge verir. Halk Kafkasya dan gemilerle getirilir. Bir kısmı İstanbul üzerinden
Oklubalı’nın şimdi bulunduğu yere yerleştirilir. Böylece Oklubalı Köyü tahmini 1865-
1866 yıllarında kurulur. Bir kısmı da Bulgaristan’a yerleştirilir. Burada Topallar köyünü
kurarlar. 1878’de Osmanlı’nın Balkanlarda yenilmesiyle buradan da çıkarılan halk
Oklubalı’na gelirler.

Debağo, 7-Bala, 8-X’ux’ğa, 9-Bağ 10-Karma, 11-Thaçoko, 12-Tawbike, 13-Şamoko
Abaze sülaleler: 1-A-Brakua, 2-Pekiz, 3-A-Jıya, 4-Karden, 5-Agıra (Agıralar Aşkharıwa
bölgesinden gelmişler. Diğerleri Aşuwa olup geldikleri yer Kuban’ın doğduğu yerler ve
Şegerey civarıdır)
Çerkesler yaklaşık 150 yıldır bu topraklarda var olma mücadelesi vermektedir. İşte bu
hazırlamış olduğumuz CD Eskişehir bölgesi Çerkesler inin kendilerine münhasır ata
mirası kültürlerini yansıtan müziklerden oluşmuştur. Dedelerimizi Rahmetle anıyoruz.

May 21 is the day when Circassians were defeated and exiled from their homeland by the Russian Empire. According to unofficial figures, more than a million Circassians were deported and thousands of them died on the road due to severe deportation conditions.

The Circassians are an indigenous people and nation,
native to the historical country and region of Circassia, in the North Caucasus. They are one of the oldest cultures in the world, traicing their ancestry to the ancient tribes that inhabited region.
In this documentary we document the Russian Empire's Genocide and expulsion of The Circassian People in the 18th Century. Sources state that as many as 1 to 1.5 million Circassians were forced to flee in total, but only a half made it alive. Ottoman archives show nearly 1 million migrants entering their land from the Caucasus by 1879, with nearly half of them dying on the shores as a result of diseases. If Ottoman archives are correct, it would make it the Circassian genocide the biggest of the 19th century.

Circassian DNA. The Circassians are originally from the North Caucasus and experienced significant losses during long wars with Russia. About 90% died or were exiled, resulting in most living in Turkey today. But what are they genetically? Here we see the breakdown of Circassian DNA on average. They have mainly Caucasian roots, with influences from Turkic peoples, Slavs, Germanic peoples and Sarmatians. The most genetically similar peoples are Karachays and Balkars. However, as we can see here, the values differs by region and tribe. For example, Circassians from Adygea are more similar to Ossetians and Ingush than other Circassians
