Мухаммед-Мирза Анзоров (1804, Анзорей, Кабарда — 19 июня 1851, Гехи, Малая Чечня)
Выступал против русской колониальной политики. 18 апреля 1846 года перешёл на сторону имама Шамиля. Вместе с другими кабардинскими феодалами призвал Шамиля в Кабарду, в надежде свергнуть русское господство.
В том же 1846 году, после неудачного похода Шамиля в Кабарду, ушёл в Чечню, вместе с 37 князьями и дворянами, а также большим числом своих крестьян.

22 августа 1846 года был назначен наибом Гехинского
наибства в Малой Чечне (левобережье Аргуна).
В этом же году возглавил сотню черкесских (кабардинских) мухаджиров.

Деятельность Анзорова приходится на один из самых тяжёлых для Чечни периодов Кавказской войны. Русские войска, теснили в горы общества Малой Чечни, отрезав их от равнины Передовой Чеченской укреплённой линией и заняв земли на западе Малой Чечни, по рекам Асса и Сунжа, на которых основывали станицы 1-го Сунженского казачьего полка. Пытаясь отстоять чеченские аулы, Анзоров вёл упорные бои с русскими. Под его руководством черкесы-мухаджиры в 1849—1851 годах неоднократно прорывали с боями Верхнесунженскую линию. В марте 1849 года назначен Шамилем мудиром (губернатором) Малой Чечни.

15 июня 1851 года тяжело ранен в бою с отрядом генерал-майора Слепцова на Нурикоевской поляне. Умер от ран 19 июня.

In this rare interview at the Circassian Cultural Institute, you get an inside glimpse into the life and times with retired General Kashouga, a very respected Circassian Elder in the NJ community.
The 21st of May, a day only a Circassian will remember. It is the day when the freedom loving people of the North Caucasus, the Circassians, after 100 years of continuous brutal war, nay massacre, by Tsarist Russia, and hundreds of years before that against other foes, finally succumbed to leave their heavenly lands under a deceitful trickery between the Tsars and Ottamans.
The result, a proud nation abandoning their heavenly homeland and falling into the wicked hands of manipulative war lords. Massacring and displacing over 1.5 million of this ancient civilization leaving less than 5% in the homeland in which they lived and loved from the dawn of time.
The peaks of the Caucasus mountains still cry’s for its children until this day, and today on the saddest of days, the 21st of May with the scar from 1864, every Circassians heart hears the motherlands cries for her children in the diaspora weeping out loud: Come back, for it is here you belong, free roaming amongst the peaks of Kazbek and Albrouz like your brave ancestors, but for now, always keep me in your brave heart.
