For effective learning of the Circassian Language, we are using the Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling or TPRS. It's a fun and stress-free way of learning, it focuses on the most useful vocabulary and uses gestures, visual imagery, spatial memory aid, body language, and voice inflection. PLUS There are no memorized dialogues or grammar worksheets with the TPRS method.
Adyghe (Circassian) Etiquette
Adyghe Khabze (Xabze) is in an orally transmitted rigid and complex code in which customs and social norms were enshrined. This system of morals had evolved to ensure that strict militaristic discipline was maintained at all times to defend the country against the many invaders who coveted Circassian lands. In addition, social niceties and graces greased the wheels of social interaction, and a person's good conduct ensured his survival and prosperity. The Khabze served as the law for ad hoc courts and councils set up to resolve contentious cases and other moot issues, and pronounce binding judgements. This code did not remain static throughout the ages. It was reformed and developed at some points in Circassian history, when two factors obtained: preponderance of outdated practices and the appearance of a charismatic personage to effect the transformation. The first instance of this kind in recorded history was in the 16th century, when Prince Beslan (Beislhen) Zhankh'wetoqwe, nicknamed 'Pts'apts'e' (The Obese), modified the structure of the peerage system and updated the Khabze. Two centuries later, the legendary Zhebaghi Qezenoqwe (1684-1750), the quintessential fighter for justice in Circassian folklore, played a pivotal role in modernizing the code and removing outdated customs and practices, though he is sometimes erroneously accredited with originating it. He was an accomplished statesman by the standards of the time, being responsible for formulating Kabardian policies with respect to the Crimean Khans and their overlords, the Ottomans. One of his notable achievements was his counsel to Prince Aslenbek Qeitiqwe and manoeuvres to avert a war with Khan Saadat-Gery who attacked Kabarda in 1720 to avenge the destruction of the Tatar army in 1708 at Qenjalischhe. Stories of Zhebaghi's wisdom and sagacity are still very much alive in national memory. In one anecdote, he was asked about the difference between truth and falsehood. He enigmatically replied that only four fingers separated them. He lifted up his hand and placed four fingers between his eye and ear, and said, 'Everything your eye sees is true, and all that you hear is false, for no one tells the truth the way he sees it.' The most recent reform was made in 1807, when a group of Circassian judges and scholars, with the blessing of the nobility, amended and updated some articles of the law.

Circassian beauty or Adyghe beauty is a stereotype and a belief referring to the women of the Circassian people. A fairly extensive literary history suggests that Circassian women were thought to be unusually beautiful and attractive, spirited, smart and elegant, and as such were desirable (although most Circassians refuse to marry non-Circassians, a requirement of Adyghe Xabze). A similar yet smaller literature also exists for Circassian men, who were thought to be especially handsome.

2024年５月３日(金)にこのチャンネルの登録者が３万人に到達しました。 2005年５月にUSTREAMを利用して配信を開始したので19年間配信し続けてこれました。これはひとえにみなさまのサポートがあったからだと心から感謝申し上げます。 思い返すとUSTREAMからYou Tubeに引っ越してきたのが2018年7月。 2020年11月14日に登録者が1万人に到達したので28ケ月かかりました。 そして2022年5月6日(金)に登録者が2万人になりました。 期間は18ケ月。 今回の3万人までの期間は24ケ月かかりました。 これを遅いとみるか早いとみるかはご意見が分かれるところだと思います。 私はこんなに順調に登録者が増えるとは思ってもいませんでしたのでとても速かったと感じています。 以前も書きましたがこのチャンネルを始めるきっかけは、軽井沢を愛したお袋と親父が『夏の間餌をあげていた小鳥やリスは冬はどうしているの？』という一言がきっかけでした。 今も二人は天国でこの配信を見て笑顔で会話していると思います。 世界的な流れでは2020年初頭から人類は未知のコロナウイルスと戦うこととなりました。 そして地球上では戦争や紛争が絶えません。 日本における地震を見れば、1995/1/17に阪神淡路大震災、2011/3/11に東日本大震災、2016/4/14に熊本地震、2018/9/6に北海道胆振東部地震、2024/1/1に能登半島地震・・・こうやって書いてみると恐ろしいけれど日本が地震大国といわれることを納得せざるを得ません。 このような社会状況の中いつ開いても癒しの空間が広がっているチャンネル・・・今はそれを目指して頑張っています。 AXISさんおカメラに切り替える前は冬のスキーシーズンに使用していたパナソニックのカメラからWIFIを利用すればどこからでもUSTREAMに配信できていましたが、停電等のトラブルがあるとどんなことをしても私が山小屋へ行き修復する必要がありました。 その他にも名古屋市に出張仕事に出かける行きの新幹線の中でお水が停止するのを確認。セミナーを終えてチャンネルを見ると、水が干上がった丸太の水場で小鳥達がエアー水浴びをブルブルッとしていました。 調べると東京駅で東海道新幹線から長野新幹線に乗り換えると19時頃には山小屋へたどり着けるのでGOしました。翌日は福岡で出張セミナーでしたのでその日のうちに松戸へ帰宅。 翌日は朝から水音が聞けました。 こうやって思い返すと頑張れたのには原因がある気がします。 この場を借りて私の元気の源ともいえるそれぞれに感謝申し上げます。 配信を始めるきっかけを作ってくれたお袋や親父に感謝！ 三笠の森とその子供達に感謝！ このチャンネルを居心地の良い場所にするために手助けをしていただいている方々に感謝！ そしていつも応援してくださる視聴者の皆様に感謝！ 配信を世界中に届けてくれるUSTREAMやYou Tubeに感謝！ 日々進化する機材に感謝！ 私はこれからも森と環境を守り子供達が活動しやすい生き物のサンクチュアリ作りを目指します。 皆様におかれましてもこれからも力強い応援をお願いします。 三笠の森と山小屋と生き物のサンクチュアリを次世代にバトンタッチできるまで・・・何卒よろしくお願いいたします！

ABSTRACT: In recent decades, we have witnessed a renewed ethnic mobilization among Circassians in the North Caucasus region in Russia, as well as among Circassians living in diasporic communities throughout the world. There has been an increased interaction between these two communities, especially since the outbreak of the Syrian Civil War in 2011 and the attempts of Circassians to save their compatriots by bringing them back and helping them to resettle in their homeland in the Russian North Caucasus. Our discussion will focus on the new forms of Circassian trans-diasporic mobilization and activism that led to the emergence of grassroots activism, the new civil society organizations and a substantially increased number of internet-based initiatives. Navigating between history, memory, and contemporary politics, Circassians have been able to cross many divides that no longer seem to be an issue in a post-Soviet digital world. They have showed a strong sense of common purpose in response to the many challenges faced by this community, whether defending their political and linguistic rights, or pushing Russia to reexamine its imperial legacy in the North Caucasus.

Watch as we give our Franna crane winch a complete transformation! First things first we’re getting everything cleaned up using the hotwash for the internal planetary gears and blasting the plates clean with our dustless blaster. But this rebuild isn't just about shining up old parts. We'll be machining brand new components for the cable tension adjuster, starting with making the bosses and shaft with our lathe before drilling and tapping holes for the grub screws in our milling machine. We also countersink the spring arm plates to give a seamless fit for the bolts. With the new parts ready, it's welding time! We'll weld the adjuster plates and bosses together and while the welds cool, we’ll begin meticulously re-assembling the winch. We start with carefully assembling all the planetary gears before they get installed back into the winch drum. Then the plates get bolted in place, before the rebuilt hydraulic motor gets installed and finally, the brand-new cable tensioner takes its place. And just like that, the once-tired winch is reborn! To finish it all off, we'll give it a fresh coat of paint, making it look (and function) as good as new! Karachay-Cherkessia is one of Russia's ethnic republics, primarily representing the indigenous Caucasian-Turkic Karachay people and the Cherkess or Circassian people. Karachays form the largest ethnic group at around 44% of the population, followed by ethnic Russians (27%) and Cherkess (13%). The Cherkess are mostly of the Besleney and Kabardin tribes.
