This is video of “Kabardinka” (Кабардинка) and Russian cultural dance belongs to the the peoples of Circassia. Circassia is a region in the North Caucasus (Russia) and along the northeast shore of the Black Sea.
Kabardinka features a marvelous collection of traditional Circassian costumes and ornaments, weapons and folkloric items, and ravishing scenes from the Kabardian countryside, this dances evoke imagery of combat and courtship. In this dance Circassian men wear a black outfit called a cherkes on stage. It is a military style outfit with an imposing coat and bullet cartridges worn across the chest. Men often wear a dagger or sword. Circassian dances share some common traits with ballet: men dance on the tips of their toes wearing special leather boots. Women move very lightly, gliding across the floor without moving their heads or upper bodies.
This traditional is also performed in the back scenery of marriage ceremony by bride and groom accompanying by fellow boys and girls. There are several dances including the kabardinka. The version of this dance performed in Turkey is called Kafkas, another variation of this dance is called as “Qafe: Circassian Stately Dance” (КЪАФЭ).
Most amazing part of it the background music and ballet style dance of men on their toes.
